If you are new to the area, new to us, or just looking around the internet for a new dental home, please let me take this opportunity to tell you a little about our practice, our philosophy and our history. We feel honored that you have taken the time to learn more about us and consider it a privilege to provide care for our patients. We have invested in our practice and want to share some of those investments with you.
Our office is located in our own free-standing building at 5023 Harpeth Drive, about one block off of Franklin Road in the heart of "downtown" Brentwood, in the area known as the Town Center. We have been in this location since the Fall of 1993. We have ample parking in the front, side, and rear of the building and their are no steps to enter, making access easy and convenient for all. We provide hot beverages for your relaxation and have a small play area with video games for the younger crowd. We have flat-screen video monitors at each chair so that you or your family can watch or listen to your favorite tv program during your treatment or while our family is being treated.
We consider ourselves to be on the cutting-edge of hi-tech dentistry. We utilize computers and electronic dental records in every operatory. This allows us safe and accurate access to your dental information from any part of the office. Digital x-rays, digital photographs, and digital images are stored securely and permanently in your own personal record. We submit all dental insurance claims electronically which allows for more accuracy and a faster turn-around time. Dr. Sullivan is trained and certified in the use of three different dental lasers. He currently is the only general dentist in Brentwood that is licensed to provide LANAP using the Periolase dental laser. Our office is also excited to share that we utilize CEREC technology in the office. This is a cad-cam system that allows Dr. Sullivan to scan your tooth and then design and create your porcelain crown in the office while you are still in the dental chair. This allows us to provide life-like crowns in one visit without the hassle of temporary crowns and impressions. Dr. Sullivan is one of a select group of dentists that is trained to visit other dental offices and assist other offices in the implementation of this fabulous technology.
We are blessed to have a team of staff members that are very loyal and very tenured. All of our staff members are excited about dentistry and the excellent care that we provide. Most of the staff have been team members with Dr. Sullivan for many years. Darlene, one of the assistants, has been with the practice for over 20 years. Several others have been here for over ten. We invest in ourselves and our staff by constantly looking for new ways to improve the care we provide. We invest time and financial resources on a regular basis in Continuing Education to stay at the top of our game.
We are very proud of the community that we call home and want to have a positive impact on the world in which we live. Dr. Sullivan is a Charter Member of the Brentwood Morning Rotary Club and has been the recipient of the "Paul Harris Fellow" award. Dr. Sullivan has also had the privilege of providing dental care throughout the country of Guatamala on more than one occasion. One of his favorite stories to share is the story of how a local pastor's son felt called to become a dentist after translating for Dr. Sullivan. The young man was 12 at the time and now practices dentistry in his native country. Dr. Sullivan is also proud of the fact that he has supported the ministry of Way-FM radio since it's inception in 1994. Our office staff and Dr. Sullivan have also had the honor of serving at the Interfaith Dental Clinic in Nashville as well as the chance to serve the young ladies of Mercy Ministries.
We are very proud of who we are, where we've come from, and what we do. We relish the chance to help make your dental experience a positive one. We understand that no one likes to wake up and go to the dentist. We understand that many people have had some negative dental experiences in their past. We want to help. We are a compassionate group of people and we try to make the dental experience the best it can be. Laughter can often be heard echoing down the halls as we want our office to be warm and comfortable. We promise that we will treat you with honesty and integrity. That is a tradition and a premise on which this practice was founded. We want to communicate openly with you and want you to communicate openly with us. We promise to be available for your needs and concerns. Dr. Sullivan gives all existing patients his personal cell phone so that they can reach him any time. We promise to treat you professionally, as we would want to be treated, and hope to continue earning your trust with each encounter with our office.
