CEREC Same-Day Dental Crowns
At Sullivan Dental Partners, we're pleased to offer our patients the advantage and luxury of leading-edge CEREC same-day tooth crowns.
We use dental technology like CEREC same-day crowns to allow our patients to get in, get the treatment they need, and get on with their busy schedules.
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, meaning we use computer-supported design and fabricating to make restorations while you wait.
The process of creating CEREC dental crowns is actually fascinating. First, we need to shape the tooth by preparing it so that your new dental crown isn't loose or uncomfortable. We then take digital impressions that we upload to specialized computer software(no more messy impressions!). Using these 3-D images, we can view an accurate and precise model of your mouth and construct your new dental crown.
During your visit with us, your new CEREC dental crown will be made from durable dental material like ceramic or porcelain. We use our in-office milling device to quickly and accurately fabricate dental restorations. Your new tooth crown will blend in seamlessly with your smile. The final step is to adjust the crown to fit your bite perfectly, polish the tooth crown, and bond it securely to your tooth.
The result is a tooth that looks completely natural and blends in seamlessly with your existing teeth. Digital impressions are more accurate and don't have any air bubbles or blurry images that can happen with traditional dental crown fabrication. At Sullivan Dental Partners, we love using our dental hive mind that produces technology and equipment designed with the patient in mind.
Traditional Dental Crowns
Unlike CEREC crowns fabricated right here in our Brentwood office, a traditional dental crown is made at a dental lab.
Using your unique tooth impression, the dental lab technician can assess all the aspects of the movement of your jaw and dental bite. Your new crown is then sculpted precisely for you, ensuring that your bite functions normally once the crown is permanently placed.
Creating traditional dental crowns takes longer than CEREC crowns because we have to send the impressions to an outside dental lab for fabrication. Since we want you to be thrilled with the results, we use only the highest quality dental labs in the US to create your restoration.
Whichever type of dental crown you choose, we can assure you that you will be thrilled with the results every time. Waiting weeks for your new dental crown is now a thing of the past.
