Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Computerized axial tomography (CAT) scanning used at Sullivan Dental Partners provides a three-dimensional view to physicians and, in recent years, to dentists. The latest development in this technology is known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
CBCT has made a significant impact in dentistry as we can now visualize in precise detail the three-dimensional anatomy of your teeth, jaws, facial bone, and other structures in the head and neck area.
Using CBCT, we can plan for precise placement of dental implants ensuring better outcomes. CBCT allows us to pinpoint the exact location of impacted teeth and their proximity to nerves and sinuses. When diagnosing gum disease, we can better determine the level of bone loss and gum attachment for more accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
With our Itero scanner, you can visualize the smile of your dreams. This scanner creates a digital impression to show you what your smile can look like after some minor corrections. This can include treatment like crowns, veneers, Invisalign, implants and more. This software also allows us to track any areas of wear on your teeth, recession on your gum line and even cavities as they are forming.
Ask us for your complimentary smile simulation at your next visit!
We know that one of the worst parts of coming to the dentist is having a gooey impression taken of your teeth. Thankfully, technology has come a long way and we have invested in equipment that can create digital impressions without ever needing to use the sticky impression material you were scarred by. This comes in handy for same-day crowns, night guards, whitening trays, dentures, implants and much more!
CEREC Same-Day Crowns
Until recently, when you needed a dental crown you had to go through several appointments and deal with a temporary crown until your new crown was ready. Today, CEREC same-day crowns make it easier and more convenient than ever to have a dental crown placed. Our natural-looking CEREC crowns work the same way as traditional crowns. However, the main advantage of choosing CEREC restorations is that we can create a finished crown during just one appointment at our Brentwood dental office.
Your customized CEREC crown is made right here at our office while you wait. You don’t have the inconvenience of multiple visits, and you don't have to put up with a temporary crown. CEREC crowns are made from porcelain, which will blend seamlessly with your natural teeth and leave you with a healthier, beautiful smile.
Overhead TVs in Every Patient Suite
We understand that dental anxiety is a real thing and want to do everything we can to make you feel comfortable. During your visit, there is a television mounted overhead to help pass the time and make your appointment more enjoyable.
Dentists have been using traditional x-rays to identify dental problems for decades. Today, advances in technology have produced digital x-rays, a safer and more efficient way to see problems inside your teeth. Digital x-rays produce very detailed images of your teeth. These images are so precise that we can see the tiniest details that might have been missed on a traditional x-ray.
Since your x-rays are digital, we can look at them with you as soon as they’re taken. We’ll show you the problem area and explain why treatment is necessary and how it will benefit your oral health. When you understand clearly what the problem is, you will be able to make more informed decisions about your dental treatments. Digital x-rays are also safer than traditional x-rays because they reduce your exposure to radiation by about 90%.
In an effort to make sure that your visits to our office are as as efficient as possible, Sullivan Dental Partners is a paperless office. Your information is digitally stored on our secure system, allowing members of our team easy access to your information. Digital files also make it easy for us to share your information with your insurance company or specialists. To update your information in advance, feel free to access it through our secure patient portal.
At Sullivan Dental Partners, we like to stay on the cutting edge of dental technology. To do this, we have to evolve with the materials that are used by dental labs all around the world. This allows us to provide the best of the best to our patients with a quick turnaround as well. Often times, we can eliminate the middle man by utilizing our in house dental lab and 3D printers, which expedites the treatment process for you! This can come in handy with implant dentures, surgical guides, night guards, retainers, whitening trays, and more!
Biolase Waterlase Laser
We now offer laser technology for efficient, safe treatment that’s more comfortable and easier than ever before! Our diode laser is FDA approved and can be used in many treatments that used to require scalpels or incisions. Laser dental treatments result in minimal bleeding, faster recovery times, and little or no post-op discomfort.
Our laser is approved for use in both cosmetic and functional treatments. For instance, crown lengthening can be done quickly and painlessly with our laser. If your gums are uneven or too much of your gum line shows when you smile, our dental laser can contour the gums for a more pleasing appearance.
We also use the laser on tissue around crowns for better long-term results, as well as treating painful canker sores, cold sores, and mouth ulcers with immediate relief.
Now more than ever, we understand the importance of cleanliness. As front line workers working with patients within inches of each others' faces, We have always taken the precautions necessary to protect ourselves and our patients from germs. With our new Sterilization equipment and processes in place, we can ensure a safe visit from start to finish.
