Sullivan Dental Partners has six dentists to provide the quality care you deserve. They work together to give you a dental experience like no other.
Here’s a little about each of them so you can have a sense of their background and treatment approach:
Dr. Richard Sullivan, III, DDS
Dr. Richard Sullivan graduated from Rhodes College before attending the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. As dentistry is constantly evolving, he is actively engaged in various forms of continuing education. He has a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, the Nashville Dental Society, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
One of Dr. Sullivan’s greatest joys is helping patients achieve a healthy, beautiful smile, and he has formed relationships with multiple generations of patients. He is honored by the trust that so many have placed in his legacy, Sullivan Dental Partners.
Dr. Richard Sullivan, IV, DDS
Dr. Sully is the second half of the father-son duo at Sullivan Dental Partners. He grew up watching his dad form lasting relationships with patients and knew he wanted to do the same thing. Dr. Sully attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Tennessee College of Dentistry. He continually pursues education and is always seeking the latest technological advancements. He is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Dental Leaders of Middle Tennessee Study Club.
Dr. Sully takes great pride in handling complex dental cases and derives tremendous satisfaction from restoring a patient’s smile and self-confidence. He understands the uniqueness of every smile and customizes treatment plans to suit each individual’s needs.
Dr. Amber Bandy, DDS
Dr. Bandy was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy, where she later returned to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She's diligent about continuing her education, recognizing the ever-evolving nature of the dental field. She’s also trained in oral sedation, a fantastic skill for those with dental anxiety.
Dr. Bandy’s goal is to build strong relationships with her patients and provide a safe space for them to get the care they need. She believes in community involvement and donates her time to helping underprivileged youth in Nashville.
She is thrilled to work at a dental practice that honors tradition, innovation, and excellence.
Dr. David Kim, DDS
Dr. David Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, but moved to the United States when he was four years old. Since then, he has lived in multiple states but calls Eugene, Oregon, home. Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Science degree from Andrews University in Michigan. He then received his DDS degree from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in California. He subsequently earned specialty certifications in Periodontics and IV sedation.
Dr. Kim’s focus is on studying and treating the structures that support the teeth, such as the bones and gums. His patient philosophy focuses on helping patients preserve their natural teeth for a lifetime. Because periodontics is a rapidly evolving field, he stays up-to-date with the latest innovations, enabling him to provide more comfortable and efficient care.
Dr. Kim’s mission is to be a dental health resource for the Nashville community and his colleagues.
Dr. Sarah Pierce, DDS
Dr. Pierce attended the University of Mississippi before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. She comes from a long line of doctors who all graduated from the same university.
Dr. Pierce credits her family for shaping her into the dentist she is today. They taught her to treat every patient with the care and respect they deserve and to utilize her unique qualities to provide the best possible dental experience. Her grandfather was friends with the Sullivan family, so her choice to join Sullivan Dental Partners was one way to continue his legacy.
Dr. Pierce believes that the collaborative approach at Sullivan Dental Partners is what sets them apart, and she loves helping patients from all walks of life achieve a healthy smile.
Dr. Bilal Zahoor, DDS
Dr. Zahoor received a degree in biology from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Although he’s from Michigan, he jumped at the chance to join the team at Sullivan Dental Partners.
Dr. Zahoor’s passion is blending the art and science of dentistry to help patients achieve beautiful, functional smiles. His goal is to improve every patient’s life, and he believes he achieves this by creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every patient feel like family.
In addition to dentistry, Dr. Zahoor has taught English in China, studied abroad in Japan, and gone on a mission trip to Guatemala. He has plenty of stories to share with his patients!
