Dr. Richard Sullivan, III

Representing the esteemed third generation of the Sullivan dental lineage, I am deeply committed to providing the pinnacle of oral care to our community. My academic journey began with a rigorous foundation in biology and chemistry from Rhodes College in Memphis. This foundation was further honed when I graduated with high honors as salutatorian from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1988.

The realm of oral healthcare is dynamic, with innovations emerging consistently. To ensure that my patients benefit from the latest advancements, I actively engage in diverse forms of continuing education, from lectures to hands-on workshops. This dedication to constant learning has been recognized through numerous accolades and my esteemed fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Beyond the technical, my greatest joy lies in the lasting relationships I’ve cultivated over the years. On a personal note, Brentwood has been my lifelong home. Together with Linda, my supportive wife since 1987, we’ve raised our son, Richard Sullivan IV, DDS, who is carving his own niche in the dental field, and our daughter, Emily Anne, a compassionate registered nurse. Our family is made complete with our three delightful Pomeranians and three grandchildren, Emmy Ruth, Cooper and Hugh (Richard Hugh Sullivan V), who will hopefully be the fifth generation of Sullivans to carry out our legacy.

Beyond dentistry, I have cultivated passions in firearm collection, water sports, and photography, each providing a unique outlet for leisure and exploration.  Your trust in our legacy and practice is deeply appreciated.
